Building on momentum following the adoption of the World Health Assembly Resolution on regulating the digital marketing of breast-milk substitutes, Sanar Foundation (Fundación Sanar) released its first Detections with Artificial Intelligence and Citizen Code Monitoring Report in Spanish (Detecciones con Inteligencia Artificial y reportes ciudadanos en ObservaMas). This report contains data collected by the ObservaMas digital monitoring platform, which includes the AI tool VIVID as well as an online reporting form for monitors to manually report violations. The ObservaMas system was developed by Sanar Foundation through support from Alive & Thrive and UNICEF Argentina.
The report's findings have also been shared with the enforcement agency, the National Administration of Drugs, Food, and Medical Technology, for further action. Stay tuned for an upcoming policy brief in English.
