The World Health Organization (WHO) conducted a webinar series from June 7 to June 21, 2024 to launch a new publication titled “Restricting Digital Marketing in the Context of Tobacco, Alcohol, Food and Beverages, and Breast-Milk Substitutes: Existing Approaches and Policy Options.” This publication describes the current challenges specific to digital marketing and provides policy options and approaches that WHO's member states can adopt to strengthen the design and implementation of these restrictions.

The Virtual Violations Detector (VIVID) is introduced in this document as a case study on how non-state actors monitor the implementation of the International Code of Marketing of Breast-Milk Substitutes in Viet Nam.
