In a recent call to action by the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Movement, Viet Nam was highlighted as one of three countries taking decisive action to counter harmful marketing of breastmilk substitutes and strengthen breastfeeding support. VIVID (Virtual Violations Detector), an AI-powered tool led by Alive & Thrive, is showcased as a model for how digital innovation can help governments address the fast-paced and often deceptive nature of online marketing.

Strong legal frameworks are essential to safeguarding parents' rights and ensuring optimal child nutrition. With the 78th World Health Assembly taking place this May, the SUN Movement calls on all member countries to support the adoption of a new resolution—an important step toward safeguarding breastfeeding, providing parents with accurate information, and closing regulatory gaps in digital marketing.
